ADA certification follows a two tier maintenance cycle:
Annual Renewal required every year
Triennial Recertification required every three years
Both components are necessary to maintain an active certification status.

Certification Status and Lapse Policy
Certification remains active only when both annual renewal and triennial recertification requirements are met.
Failure to complete recertification at the three year mark will result in certification expiration.
Expired certifications require reapplication and successful completion of the full certification exam.
